Guangdong Sunteam Steel and Wooden Products Co. is a well-known SGS-approved Chinese maker of office furniture with a 60,000-square-meter factory in Shunde, Guangdong Province.
The factory is equipped with advanced equipment including welding machines, punchers, pressing machines, packaging machines, and other automated machinery. The facilities have been augmented recently with a sophisticated computer-controlled vacuum blowing machine, heavy-duty automatic sealing machine, and automatic presser imported from Italy.
Guangdong Sunteam currently has a work force of more than 800 people who turn out a variety of office furniture including computer desks, laptop PC desks, and file cabinets as well as TV stands and children’s beds. Monthly output includes more than 80,000 units of office furniture, partly carrying the firm’s own “Sunteam” brand and partly shipped on an OEM basis.
To keep abreast of global eco-trends and comply with the government’s environmental regulations, the company manufactures eco-friendly furniture that is non-toxic and recyclable. It is now a major supplier of computer desks for the Lenovo Group, China’s No. 1 computer maker; in addition to serving the domestic market, it also exports to Europe, the U.S., Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia.
